Today was a really good day, I can still feel the ride in my legs, they are stiff and warm and I am very glad i went to Beacon Fell and not the usual loop, BF is a bit more of a challenge. I managed to get to the top in 43mins 48seconds, a personal record i think, and the pleasure of cutting though rush hour traffic was enormous. BIKES are GREAT THE RIDE I had a fantastic ride, the trails (iof you can call them that) were empty, save for a few people that turned up as I was finishing.. I really could open the throttle on the singlepseed, shame it got stuck and I just pootled along at a merry old pace :-)... I really had fun, and I skipped the gym too, wow... that;s not happened since MARCH!... crikey, is this the first step to becoming a couch potato? :-) -x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x it is warm today, i am going for a ride (that will hurt) later CAFFEINE OVERDOSE [i have written this before, but i accidently wiped everything!] Yesterday I discovered that the local cheapie food store sells dodgy looking RedBull, it's packaged OK, but at 29p a bottle, you have to suspect something.... I bought some.. I was hoping it would help me wake up, so I could fly though the pile of work that had accumulated on my desk. I plodded on though the day waiting for the effects of all the nasty sounding chemicals in the drink to kick in, but nothing happened... Five Thirty ticked over on the clock, I raced home, grabbed my gym stuff and headed out, I was starting to feel a bit odd. The gym was packed so I stood around waiting for some form of torture equipment to become free. One of the bikes was the object to make me suffer tonight, number 8.. yes, hello number 8. 30mins of suffering later, I dismounted (not to Olymic standard) and suddently felt a wave of 'whaaa wooooo' come over me. I was sweating more than that night in that place with that stuff that we don't talk about. The caffeine had kicked in and I was physically shaking. Hmm.. well maybe it was the chemicals in the drink and my liver was being rejected. Conclusion: cheap red bull is dodgy
