Target : Locked

25 Sep 2009 at 16:11

I'm obsessed with this, it's so close, I can see the finish (in my mind), it's bitesizable, nom nom nom.

By my calculation, next Friday I shall, at some point, cross the (imaginary) finish line to a fanfare of nothing.

It'll only be just October by that point, 90 days left in this decade, might as well push on, just less crazy distances. I have a bad feeling about the amount of snow we're going to get between Nov and April though.. a really bad feeling.

We live in the wrong country for lovely powder, we're too low, too wet.
Powder is aces for riding in, but it only lasts 1 day, then it's a nightmare for the next week or more, last year the ice stayed around for over a month :(

Get some ice/snow tyres :)

The thought has crossed my mind, I just don't know what's any good ;)

Nokian Hakka 300 :)

I need something for my 'cross bike that works better on roads than the schwalbe snow studs I used last winter. Temped by a marathon winter, they appear to have studs closer to the centre of the tread than the snow studs so should work better on ice when going in a straight line.
