Today marked my fiftieth ride of the year, marked with a hard work 41.8miles.
So what broke, I hear you ask? Well, Massive pinchflat to rim into rocks, front wheel seems more wobbly now, then .3miles after fixing the flat the tyre unseated and WANG, I the the bike away into more rocks. Fitting 26" tube around a 29er rim always carries the chance of messing up, despite checking.
Legs, they broke, I was 'chewing bar' for the last 5 miles.
The chainring and chain were making a nice sawing sound, but magically didn't unship at all - WOO!
Windy and wet again - people everywhere.
I still can't decide if 29ers are better than 26ers or not. I could do with less pinch flat though, but that's more down to the wind preventing me from gliding over the miles of stones.
