What the hell's happened to the weather? currently it's blowing at over 50mph here, with a full on lightning and hail storm!
It's rained every day so far in 2008, so, if you figure the icy days back in Dec were bloody windy, the weather's been full on nasty for over two-and-a-half months.
If I'd chosen 2008 to ride a full year I'd have probably given up today... I stand by my prediction that Winter 08 is going to he horrific.. just wait 'til Feb and March when the blizzards come.

Funny I ride pretty much six days a week and hardly ever get wet, certainly haven't been caught in rain yet this year ;0)

Yes, you live in the south underneath this broken jetstream, might as well be another country.

I think Matt lives in a self-sustaining private ecosystem, separate from the rest of the UK, incl Simon (because you never hear him complaining!!)
Today was the first day of evil rain this year. There were showers on Saturday though.

I was out in the 30mph winds earlier. They were... interesting. Don't mind me, I'll just veer wildly across the trail and nearly end up entangled in my mate's bike :) Luckily the ice storm (like hail but more hardcore) held off until I got home.
Hasn't rained all that much around here really though.

I'm with Matt, it's been well grim so far in 08, i even own tights and water proof socks when I have been able to survive without them for the past 10 years riding!!

It's pretty grim and no mistake. And it's not going to end any time soon.

I rode to/from work on something like 185 days last year. I think I got soaked 5 times.
Today I wore my waterproofs for riding to work for the first time this year, but I needn't have bothered.

Don't you live on the Tropical East of the country though?
FYI it's absolutely pouring down here, again.

Yup, I went outside for 19 seconds and got wet.
I'm sure last Jan wasn't this bad.. then again, this is still 2007, 2008 doesn't start until April.

Yeah alright, you win. It's been foul out ever since I said it hadn't rained that much. Bah and indeed humbug.
