One Less Bit

22 Oct 2007 at 15:53 Filed Under:

My CX tyres arrived today, only 15 days after ordering them!

Now all I need is a front cable hanger and I can have a complete set of bike parts to ignore for months, before putting them all together and deciding the bike's shit.

(do i get a long drop or a short drop hanger thing? - canti brakes)

No idea, I don't know anything about canti brakes. I take it you need a steerer tube mounted doodah?

Correct.
Plenty to choose from at SJS, but I'm not sure what type I need, I'll look later.

Maybe it depends on how long the headtube is. Dunno. Anyway, get the purple one :)

Get a long-drop one. It makes it easier to route the cable as there is more room between the hanger and the stem.

That was my thinking, too, rich, I can move it up or down depending on requirement using headset spacers, too..which I shouldn't need to do.

@simon, proper cold now, too, brrrr
